• Imagination/ creativity – Children will love cubbies and forts for pretend play and role play. Open fort especially lend themselves to more opportunities for play. The fort could be a house, hideout, shop, car, plane, etc. Play is limited only by what you set out inside and the childrens imaginations!
  • Social/ emotional development – Great for hiding, dramatic play or a quiet place for a book or a tea party. Cubbies and forts provide opportunities for children to socialize and role play other community people, giving them new perspectives of the world.
  • Physical development – Raised cubbies and forts can have added climbing equipment such as scramble nets, ladders, poles and ropes that challenge children physical, especially their upper body strength.
