Our playground pumps are shallow well pumps which means that they are designed to draw water from a reservoir (Mitchell) They cannot be connected to a live water supply or rainwater tank. We can supply our reservoir, fittings and reservoir pump as a unit or the water pumps can be purchased individually and installed as you see fit.
WARRIGAL PUMP
This little stainless steel pump is best suited to the tiny tots up to 4 years old. A very easy to operate pump and despite the pump being quite small it still has the output capacity to be utilised in small creekbeds however is best suited to sandpits and sand kitchens.

REID PUMP
The most popular and widely used of our stainless steel pumps. Suitable for age groups 3-10 years old. With a higher output capacity this pump can be used from small sandpits to large creek beds and sandpit areas. The spout has a bucket hook attached to allow children to fill buckets that can be used for sand play in the sandpit or watering their favourite vegetable garden. BROOKTON PUMP
The largest stainless steel pump in our range standing at 856mm tall, this pump is generally used in Primary School settings. Due to the size of the pump and its capability to pump large volumes of water, the pump has been fitted with an extended handle for ease of operation. Best suited for large creek beds and water channels where more water volume is required.

MITCHELL RESERVOIR
Our playground pumps are shallow well pumps which means that they are designed to draw water from a reservoir. They cannot be connected to a live water supply or rainwater tank. We can supply our 150 litre reservoir which is an inground polypropylene plastic. The system includes float valve with fittings or manual top up pipework.

BENEFITS OF WATER PLAY FOR CHILDREN
The developmental benefits of water play for children are well known. Few children can resist the sensory urge to play with water whilst at the same time developing their social skills as they play cooperatively with other children, negotiating and sharing the hand pump and other equipment, space and materials.
Whilst playing with water children are introduced to mathematical and scientific concepts as they measure and pour and make mud pies and other mixtures with water and surrounding materials.
Water conservation skills are learnt whilst playing with hand pumps as water is drawn from a reservoir and recirculated. Once the water has been used up in play there is no more until the reservoir is refilled.
